Choose the right product and design
Keep the background when the place or scene is part of the story. Remove it when you want a portrait to sit naturally on the garment color. A rectangular photograph and a cutout are both valid layouts; compare them in the preview rather than assuming one is always better.
Prepare your photo or artwork
Start with a clear photo whose subject is separated from the background. Upload the original file, use the removal option and inspect hair, ears, whiskers, glasses and spaces between limbs. Fine details and low-contrast edges deserve a closer look because a quick automatic cutout may need a different source image.
Plan shipping and your gift date
Image preparation comes before delivery planning. Finish the cutout and review its edges on the chosen shirt color, then check the selected product’s arrival estimate with the receiving address. Background removal does not make printing or transit faster. If the shirt is needed for an event, allow time for artwork review and inspection before the event rather than using its date as a flexible deadline.
Check the preview before ordering
Once the background is removed, compare the subject against the garment color. A dark outline needs enough contrast to remain visible. Keep the cutout inside the supported area and avoid enlarging it beyond the detail available in the original photo. Check the full preview after resizing.

Does background removal improve a blurry picture? No. It removes unwanted surroundings but does not guarantee new detail in a blurred image. Start with a sharper original or use a smaller print.
What if the order is printed incorrectly? The store's print-error policy covers print and placement mistakes on our side. Send a photo within 30 days for a reprint or refund; customer-selected sizing, color and artwork are excluded.
